人とのコミュニケーション手段として考えた場合、
最近の文字ベースのツールは
会話方式ツールと、手紙方式ツールに分けられる気がします。
電子メールは手紙方式、
メッセンジャーなど、チャットは会話方式かな？
となると携帯のメールは一通の長さから考えると、
会話方式に当てはまるんじゃないでしょーか。
電子メールは割と手紙に置き換わってる感がありますよねー。
近況報告、業務連絡、ちょっとした連絡などなど。
相手も自分も場所や時間を全く選ばず、
しかも瞬時に送れてしまう。みんな使わないわけは無いですなｗ
それじゃあ果たして、
チャットや携帯のメールは会話に置き換わり得るのか！？
いやー、今んところはまったくそんな気配は無い気がするんですけどね。
って言っちゃうと話が終わってしまうのでｗ
直接会って話をすれば、相手の表情や話し方、
声の強弱や体の動き、その場の雰囲気、周りの環境などなど、
色んな「話の中身」以外の情報が一緒に入って来ます。
それに比べて会話方式ツールはどうでしょうか。
文字の中身を伝えること以外には原理的に不可能なんじゃないかと。
会話方式ツールで感情その他の情報を表現するものとして、
まず絵文字や顔文字などが考えられますねー。
絵文字だと機種依存したり、
顔文字だと相手がその顔文字を知らない（分からない）と意味不明
っていう問題はあるものの、
文字だけで他の情報を伝える手段としてはとっても有効だと思います。
他の方法としては、"感情表現語"を使うっていうのが考えられます。
いわゆる、（笑）、（泣）、（怒）などなど。
ほんとに怒ってる時に（怒）とか
書く余裕があるかどうかわかんないですけどｗ
（笑）が ｗ って簡略化されたり、
（泣）が TT になったり、色々と変化も見られますよね。
TTなんかは顔文字とも言えるかも知れません。
自然に使うものとしては、
文体の変化や語尾の変化があるでしょうか。
手紙のような決まった文体ではなく、
あたかも会話文をそのまま書くような。
これらのツールが会話に代わる手段として作られたのなら、
それは当たり前のことなのかも知れませんけど！
文字だけで"内容以上の情報"を送ることができる
有効な手段はあると思いますが、
ちゃんとみんな使ってますでしょうか？
おれが結局言いたかったのはですね、
内容しか伝えられないようなヤツは、会話方式ツールの使い方がなってない！
ってことです。
だって直接会って話をする時には、みんな相手のことを考えて、
"こういう言い方をしたら相手にはどう伝わるかな？"
っていうのを考えるわけじゃないですか。
だったら同じように会話方式ツールにおいても、
!"こういう書き方をしたら相手にはどう伝わるかな？"
っていうのを考えるべきだと思います。
少なくとも相手に不快感を与えないように。
みんながうまく自分を文字で表現できるようになれば、
完全にとって代わることは無いにしても、
文字方式ツールがもっと会話に近づくことは可能でしょうね、きっと。
