何て言うんですか、今日はちょっと
ばーちゃるりありてぃ（virtual reality）
について考えてみたいと思うんですよ。
virtualって言う言葉をおれの辞書で引くと、
形容詞 （名目はともあれ）事実上の、実質上の、実際（上）の
と書いてあります。
一般的にバーチャルリアリティ（virtual reality）という言葉は
「仮想現実」という言葉と置き換えられますね。
virtualなreality、事実上の現実、とでも言いましょうか。
つまり（名目はともあれ）事実上は現実として扱うことができるような、
現実のようなものとして存在するそのものを、
バーチャルリアリティと呼ぶんですよね。
一般的にその実現方法は何らかの”ゲーム”の形を取ってたりとか、
特化したシミュレーターだったりするわけでしょうけども。
何が言いたいかって言うとですね、
実際は存在していないことは明らかなのに、
”事実上の現実”として扱われるっていうのは恐ろしいんじゃないかと。
扱うっていうのは、virtualっていう言葉を充てることだけでなく、
人間がその中に現実を見出すこと自体です。
いつだったか忘れましたけど、もう何年も前になるかなぁ。
「ネットでお墓参りするシステム？」
そんなのをＴＶで見た気がします。
いや、笑うかも知れへんけど、ほんとにあってんってば！
うわ、今検索したらホントにまだあったよ・・。

それでおれの意見なんですが、
virtual rialityの存在は
遊び、もしくは人が実際に体験（実行）できないことのシミュレーション
だけでいいと思うんです。ほんとに。
例えばこないだ奈良先端大で見てきたシステムなんかは、
人間の血管の中に入って、周り見渡したりできるものでした。
そんなのは、学術的に役に立つだろうし、すっごい良いと思うんです。
でもね、
遊びを超えて現実感を得たら、それはダメだろうと。
だってそれはほんとにあくまでvirtualなものだし、
現実の"現実"は他にあるんだもんね。
お墓にしろ何にしろ、そこに本来の意味は無いと思います。
だって自分が見てるのは故人が存在してるお墓じゃなくって、
あくまでモニター上のバイナリデータに過ぎないんですもん。
遊び、っていうかゲームですね。ＴＶゲームとか。
はっきり言ってファミコンのドラクエⅢの世界は、
視覚的仮想現実を体験できる空間としてのvirtualという意味では、
決してよく出来ているとは言えません。
ただ、それでもみんながはまったのは、
ゲームの世界、というのが非常によく描かれてたからだと思うんです。
（少なくとも当時のゲームとしては圧倒的に。）
反対に最新のファイナルファンタジーなんかはどうでしょうか。
視覚的な仮想現実感としては、ドラクエⅢの比じゃありません。
ファイナルファンタジーの映画なんかもありましたが、
やっぱりよく世界が（視覚的に）よくできてると思います。
他の部分はよく知りませんけどもｗ
ちなみにおれが一番”世界”っていうのをゲームに感じられたのは、
真女神転生ソウルハッカーズなわけですが！
その中の世界「パラダイムＸ」なんかが出てきた時には、
なんて言いますか、こう、身の毛がよだつ感じ？ｗ
とにかく後にも先にもあの世界の感覚は得られないだろうと思います。
もう一つ言うとですね、ネットゲーってあるじゃないですか。
こう、ＲＰＧの登場人物全てがそれぞれ人間みたいな。
ちょっと前からあるのだったら、Lineageとかラグナロクとか。
最近だったら天上碑とか？
あれってある意味、仮想現実の極地だと思うんです。
仮想現実の、っていうかＲＰＧのっていうか。
会ったことの無い人が相手でもすっごく仲良くなれる、
それ自体を否定はしません。
でもその（ゲームの）世界だけじゃなくって、
自分が本来生きてる現実の世界っていうのがあるわけですよ！
virtual のみ に生きる
（ネットゲーだけじゃなくって、その他仮想的なものなら何でも）
って言うのは、おれは、無意味だと思います。
そりゃ楽しいんでしょうけどね、本人は。
でもvirtualとrealの間にある線は、絶対に越えられない、
いや超えちゃいけないと思うんです。今はまだ。
しかし、
「何でvirtualがあかんのん。２次元ラヴで何ががあかんのん。」
って言われると、返す言葉がまだ無いですねｗ
余計なお世話なのは分かってますが、
おれはvirtual世界に浸っても
一時的な 楽 以外何も得られないと思ってるんで、
すっごいそのvirtual大好き！ってのが
非生産的 で 無駄 に思えてしまうんです。
virtual realityの技術革新が、
そういうのにのめり込み過ぎてしまう子ども（時には大人）を
生み出してるとしたら、ちょっと、じゃなくてかなり悲しいかも。
みんな同じこの世界に住んでるんやから、他に住む世界なんかいらんねん。
長いこと書きましたけど、言いたいことはそれだけです。
virtual と real 。
一見して全く逆の概念のようにも思える言葉が、一つになっている言葉。
virtual reality
その発展はこれから先、人類にどのような未来を見せてくれるのでしょうか。
何十年、いや何百年か先、
この我々が住む世界とまったく同じ世界を構築できるほどに技術が進歩すれば、
その世界はvirtual（名目上は実際の）realityでは無く、
real（名目上ではない本当に実際の）realityになるのかも知れません。
その時がきっと、virtualとrealの境界線が無くなる時でしょう、ね。
